Safeguards
The Tools That Keep Play in Check.
We provide practical safeguards to help you stay in control. Set limits, take breaks, and make informed choices.

- Time-outUntil 11:59 PM
- Reality checkEvery 60 min
Our safeguards
Flexible tools designed to support your control and wellbeing. Names and menus differ by operator. The job of the tool does not.
Reality checks
Get reminders about your play time and spending so you stay informed.
These tools live on operator sites. We explain them — we don't run them.
Operator guidance checklist
Guidance for operators and partners on implementing effective safeguards and promoting responsible play. This is a public checklist, not an accreditation and not a partnership list.
✓Know your players
Understand player behaviour and identify who may need support.
✓Communicate clearly
Provide clear, accessible information about tools and how to use them.
✓Enable easy access
Make safeguards simple to find and easy to set.
✓Monitor and review
Regularly review tools and policies to ensure they remain effective.
✓Provide support resources
Connect players to help and support whenever they need it.
How to actually use them
Look for Responsible Gambling, Player Protection, or Safer Gambling in the account menu. Set deposit limits on a weekday afternoon, not after a loss. Time-outs are for a night that is getting long. Reality checks are the tap on the shoulder you will ignore unless you decide, in advance, that the reminder means stop. Cool-offs sit between a time-out and a full self-exclusion — long enough to break a streak, short enough that you will actually use them.
Self-exclusion is not one national button
In the United States, self-exclusion is mostly state-by-state and operator-by-operator. There is no single federal switch that turns every book off. In Great Britain, GAMSTOP publishes a free multi-operator online block. Confirm coverage and duration on the scheme or operator page that applies to you — their terms win over this sentence.
